Until our move to Texas in 1998, I frequently attended festivals at Ozark Avalon. My first was Beltaine, 1993. when Lifesong was organizing the festivals. I taught many workshops, led and participated in many ritual there. Ozark Avalon became a 501 (c)3 church October 31, 1997. I was on the Board of Directors for three years, until I resigned in 2003, due to the distance and inability to participate directly or often in the church’s activities. During the business meeting in 2002, Rose Wise, Tom Dixon and I were the first to be ordained before the congregation. At this time, Tom is no longer a member of the church.
